AverMedia Launch New USB TV Tuner

AverMedia have launched a new and cheap USB TV Tuner called the AverTV Volar HD Nano A867R.

The compact AVerTV Volar HD Nano, certified by Windows Media Center Additional Qualification (WMC AQ), combines TV viewing and Windows Media Center for your best convenience and first-rated PCTV experience. It adopts concealed connector to raise the stability of device and increase the portability.

The accompanying remote control is just like a perfect match for AVerTV Volar HD Nano. By clicking the “Green Button” on the remote control, you can turn on Windows Media Center* and enjoy the flexibility of switching among TV, DVD and other media files under Windows 7 platform. This remote also fully complies with AVerTV 6, which provides you with advanced PCTV features including plan your recording schedule and export to iPod etc.

The AVerTV HD Volar A867R plugs into a computer’s USB 2.0 port and enables users to watch and record Freeview channels on Windows desktop PCs or laptops, and switch to other media sources or files at the click of a button using the supplied full-function remote control.

The AVerTV Volar HD offers users full Freeview (DVB-T) capabilities, with electronic programme guide (EPG), teletext, and picture-in-picture for multichannel viewing. It also supports up to 1080i HD TV viewing, allowing users to watch and record HDTV content with H.264 and MPEG-2 formats, as well as offering compression technology to enable transfer to an iPod or PSP.
