Microsoft Shows Off Windows Phone 7.8

Microsoft announced an update for current Windows Phone customers called Windows Phone 7.8 a few days back.  Today, they showed off some of the new features from 7.8.

Last week, we told you about the release of Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 7.8.  A few days back, Microsoft published a blog post about 7.8 with some video.  Here is the video:

It is good that they at least are bringing these changes to current customers, and I understand why they are making a break with current hardware in Windows Phone 8, but also understand the disappointment expressed by current users that their new Lumia handsets are now obsolete much quicker than they hoped for.  Let’s hope that 7.8, along with the features that Nokia is adding as well, is enough to keep those customers mollified and engaged.
