EA Mobile’s freemium game The Simpsons: Tapped Out rolls out its first content update. Here is the press release:
EA Mobile is proud to announce the first update for its popular freemium game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out. Fans can enjoy new characters, buildings, decorations, quests and more. In addition, The Simpsons: Tapped Out has reached a new milestone and hit #1 in the top free rankings for every territory where the game is available within the first week of the worldwide launch.
- New Characters – Laugh at the mishaps of others with Nelson (Haw-Haw!), admire the snapdragons with Martin, and shake down kids for lunch money with Kearney!
- New Buildings – Collect book fees with the Springfield Library, stare at Neptune with the Springfield Observatory, and collect welfare with the Muntz House.
- New Decorations – Enjoy the elegance of the broken down washer, broken down dryer, and shooting car of the Muntz house, or plant flowers and frolic in the butterfly tent with Martin.
- New Quests – Make Kearney dance a jig, serve detention with Nelson, and more!
Written by The Simpsons’ award-winning writers, the popular free mobile app brings to life TV’s longest-running comedy. Fans are able to recreate and customize the iconic town of Springfield and play along with many of the beloved characters they have come to know and love throughout the show’s more than 20-year history.
The Simpsons: Tapped Out is now available for free on the iTunes App Store on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore.
This game is free to download and you can make in-game purchases for items that enhance gameplay. I am not a fan of this arrangement as it is pretty easy for a kid to rack up large charges in this kind of arrangement, but if you are looking for some IOS fun and don’t mind in-game purchases, check this one out.
