Installing Wuala on the LaCie 5Big Office +

Verify the Wuala path to use. Click Advanced and choose your backup interval and such. Select OK when you are ready.

Note that the backup is configured but has not run yet.

Highlight the backup job and click the icon that looks like a Wrench button to change the backup settings. Since I set this one to Continuous, Wuala begins the backup process.

Click on the Cloud icon with your account name to see what is being backed up. The folder with the checkmark and clock/circular arrow icons are set up to be backed up to the cloud.

Start to finish, this took about 45 minutes to set up and get the backup set up. Not too bad, and now the critical data from my server is being backed up offsite in case anything really bad ever happens. Not bad, huh?

Here is the pricing plan for Wuala.

20 GB at $50 per year is not too expensive. 50GB at $72 per year is also not too expensive for protection of your most important data integrated into the server dashboard.

We’ll look at some other Wuala features in future posts, as well as NAS-NAS backups and an overall evaluation of the 5Big Office +.  Stay tuned for more!
