Parrot introduced a new product aimed at helping you to grow better plants. Called the Flower Power, it is a sensor that it placed in the plant’s pot, reads various soil conditions, shares the data with a mobile app and helps you with when to water and fertilize, as well as when your plant needs more sun or a different temperature.   The mobile app has a database of over 6,000 plants, and includes water, temperature, sunlight and nutrition requirements.  If you forget to water the plant, Flower Power triggers an alarm and notifies you.  Here is a quick video that explains Flower Power:

Flower Power leverages Blue Tooth to communicate with your mobile device (iOS only at the moment), and the database of plants was developed in conjunction with botanists to make the notifications relevant.  When the product releases in the next several months, it will be widely available and will come in green and brown colors.  No pricing or release date is available yet; we’ll keep you posted as Parrot has more to say on this product.
