The Acer Iconia W3 tablet has been revealed in an online leak. Leaked by French website Minimachines, the device is expected to be the first 8-inch slate to run the Windows 8 operating system.
The Iconia W3 will allegedly come with a dual-core Atom Z2760 1.8GHz processor and 2GB of RAM on board, as well as dual camera and speakers.
Acer will also be compatible with keyboard docks and is likely to support both microUSB and microSDHC.

The news follows rumours that Microsoft is developing a smaller Windows 8 tablet of its own, following the larger Surface to market.
Acer has been tipped to launch the Iconia W3 in time for the start of the new school year in mid-August.
