Capcom announced Resident Evil Revelations 2 back at TGS in September and now we can share 10 minutes of gameplay with you.

Evolving the episodic chapter set-up of the original Resident Evil Revelations, Resident Evil Revelations 2 will initially release as a weekly series of episodic downloads. Each of the four episodes features hours of terrifying gameplay ending with dramatic cliff-hangers that leave players fully engrossed and anticipating the next twist in the gripping horror story. A digital download option of the Complete Season will also be available to ensure fans can get each episode as it rolls out, and a retail disc version will arrive following the final episode. Both the disc version and Complete Season will include additional game content, which will be detailed in the coming weeks and months. With the variety of options available, Resident Evil fans will have more choices available to them than ever before.

The beginning of the Resident Evil Revelations 2 tale sees fan favourite Claire Redfield make a dramatic return to the horrors that haunted her in the past. Survivor of the Raccoon City incident depicted in previous Resident Evil games, Claire now works for the anti-bioterrorism organisation Terra Save. Moira Burton, new recruit and daughter of Resident Evil legend Barry Burton, is attending her welcome party for Terra Save when unknown armed forces storm the office. Claire and Moira are knocked unconscious and awaken later to find themselves in a dark and abandoned detention facility. Working together, they must find out who took them and to what sinister end. With the terrifying Afflicted enemies waiting around every dark corner, players will need to use their ammo and weapon supply wisely, in classic survival horror style. Will Claire and Moira make it out alive and discover what’s led to them being taken to this remote island? Who else will they come across? A story of twists and turns will have players guessing the next step at every turn.

Out this week is Sniper Elite 3 will launch with a 10GB day-one patch on Xbox One, it has been confirmed. The sizeable day one patch will be used to make a variety of improvements and reduce the install size from 21GB to 19GB, Rebellion has told Eurogamer.

It will also be used to sync data between retail discs and future multiplayer DLC.

“The main part of the update is to sync data between the game’s retail discs and the Xbox Live digital download edition of the game,” a Rebellion spokesperson explained.

“In the several weeks between sending the code off to manufacture and release, rather than sit around or take a break, we’ve continued to work on the game, making improvements and optimisations.

“We’ve also begun work on multiplayer DLC and a small part of this update is to introduce a compatibility pack.

“This is standard for any game that adds DLC – it’s just to make sure everyone can have the same multiplayer experience whether they own DLC or not.”

“It’s part of this ongoing optimisation process that’s enabled Sniper Elite 3 to perform well at a native 1080p on both Xbox One and PS4,” the spokesperson continued.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience and we firmly believe Sniper Elite 3 will be worth the wait!”

Sniper Elite 3 will make its European debut on 27th June for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC. It will launch in North America on 1st July.

Final Thoughts

The USB 3.0 to HDMI External Video Card Multi Monitor Adapter is fairly small so it doesn’t take up much room – which is great if you don’t have a lot of room around the TV or monitor you want to connect to. It always makes it portable, so you can slip it into your bag if you want to connect your laptop to a TV in a hotel room, for example (just don’t forget to take an HDMI cable with you).

You can easily mirror the display from the laptop, or if you want, extend the display from the laptop to the TV.

The adaptor works on Windows and Mac, and even Linux, so pretty much all your bases are covered.  drivers……..

To use the adaptor you just connect it up to the computer or laptop, install the drivers and that’s it – very quick and simple.

I connected a laptop up to a TV with HDMI (via USB 3.0) and was very pleased with the results – there was no lag, and everything seemed very smooth. I played a 1080p movie through the laptop and again I was very happy with the results – there was no obvious quality difference and there was no lag. I tried it on a USB 2.0 port and it was noticeably slower, but then it is a USB 3.0 device! One thing to note though – don’t expect to play graphic intensive games through it, it just isn’t that type of device unfortunately.

So if you are looking for a small, portable, easy to use device to connect your laptop to a monitor, TV, or projector then you should take a good look at this one!

The USB 3.0 to HDMI External Video Card Multi Monitor Adapter retails for £59.00.

Ubisoft has released a patch for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag on PlayStation 4 which increases its native resolution to 1080p from the 900p native resolution.

Once you installed the game will be running at full-HD 1080p natively, The publisher said it shipped the game running at 900p to ensure a 30 frames-per-second refresh rate at launch.

“Finishing the game at 900p gave the development team the extra room in terms of the GPU and CPU usage to ensure the framerate never dips below 30 frames per second,” explained Ubisoft.

The patch also adds “a brand-new anti-aliasing technique”, which helps reduce the appearance of jagged edges on-screen. The new anti-aliasing will be active in both PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.

Still no information on the update for the Xbox One version of Assassin’s Creed IV : Black Flag
